Spedix ES25 speed controller is designed for 150-280 size racing multirotors. The product is powered by high performance EFM8BB21 MCU, and flashed with the latest BLHeli_S program. With the combination of dedicated drive chip, this speed controller has excellent response speed and efficiency. The filter circuit of ES25 is composed of 12 low ESR capacitors, a number much more than competitors that use only 4-5 of them. As a result, ES25 has less current ripples and higher system stability, and less interference to wireless video transmitters.
In additional to excellent design, ES25 is also made of top quality electronic parts. It is composed of 3 Oz gold plated PDB, and genuine components from estimated suppliers such as STMicroelectronics of Switzerland, TDK of Japan, and AVX of USA.
The Spedix uses the BusyBee2 MCU technically labeled EFM8BB21. This is the better of the two MCU’s. Hardware across BlHeli_S ESCs tends to be very similar, if not the same. Spedix is using some quality parts though including 3oz gold plated PDB. The 25A version boast 12 low ESR capacitors that suppress the current ripples. They even say that this provides less interference on the video system of a miniquad.
Excellent design, authentic electronic components, and good manufacturer process all together make the ESC an excellent product with great quality, reliability, and stability. Furthermore, the size of the product is managed to be as small as most compact products in the market.

Here at Flying Tech we have a wide choice of electronic speed controllers (ESCs).
There are two main types of ESCs: 4-in-1 ESCs and single ESCs. A 4-in-1 ESC integrates four individual ESCs onto a single circuit board, each controlling a separate motor. A single ESC controls only one motor.
This 4-in-1 ESC is a more popular choice for racing quads, while single motor aircraft such as fixed wings would use a single ESC. Single ESCs are still used by some drone racers though, as after a crash or a burnt up ESC, they only have to replace one, not an entire 4-in-1 or stack which is a lot more costly. Single ESCs are also available which much greater current ratings (80amp +) so they are also used by power hungry multi-rotors, for example X-Class racing quads, professional camera flying “Cinelifters”.
When using individual ESCs, they typically need to be connected to a single power distribution board (PDB) or an “AIO flight controller” (a type of flight controller with integrated PDB) for power supply.
