Description

Sequre is a brand well known in the hobby world for making innovative hobby tools like smart soldering irons and screwdrivers. They are now expanding their offering with component electronics.

This SQESC 28120 is a powerful brushless speed controller (ESC) which makes use of the latest in drone ESC technology. This ESC isn’t just for drones though. It’s universal to all RC models, be that fixed-wing aircraft, cars, boats and so on.

The ESC is rated for 120A continuous / 150A burst current. It supports a 2-8S (7-33V) voltage input. The ESC runs BLHeli_32 / AM32 firmware (select as required), allowing it to be configured to meet your needs. For example setup relating to: ESC brake, motor timing, direction, throttle calibration, current detection and other settings can be adjusted (ESC programmer required – here).

The SQESC is sold in two versions – please select as required. The ESC unsoldered (ideal for FPV racing drones) or pre-wired with the addition of a BEC. The BEC can be used to power your receiver, servos or auxiliary devices – it offers an adjustable voltage output: 5V/4A, 6V/4A, 7.2V/4A, 8.2V/4A, 12V/3A.

Advice

Here at Flying Tech we have a wide choice of electronic speed controllers (ESCs).

There are two main types of ESCs: 4-in-1 ESCs and single ESCs. A 4-in-1 ESC integrates four individual ESCs onto a single circuit board, each controlling a separate motor. A single ESC controls only one motor.

This 4-in-1 ESC is a more popular choice for racing quads, while single motor aircraft such as fixed wings would use a single ESC. Single ESCs are still used by some drone racers though, as after a crash or a burnt up ESC, they only have to replace one, not an entire 4-in-1 or stack which is a lot more costly. Single ESCs are also available which much greater current ratings (80amp +) so they are also used by power hungry multi-rotors, for example X-Class racing quads, professional camera flying “Cinelifters”.

When using individual ESCs, they typically need to be connected to a single power distribution board (PDB) or an “AIO flight controller” (a type of flight controller with integrated PDB) for power supply.

We are based in the UK, but ship to most worldwide destinations. Postage rates are calculated by the size/weight and shipment location. We process orders Monday to Friday and pride ourselves on our quick turnaround of orders - most UK orders will arrive the next day.

Order before 4PM for same day dispatch with Royal Mail, 2PM for next day delivery with DHL and 1PM for next day delivery with APC.
We offer FREE Shipping on UK orders over £99, weighing less than 1kg.
The courier options deliver Monday to Friday, Royal Mail delivers to residential addresses on Monday to Saturday.

For small low value orders our cheapest delivery service is Royal Mail First Class. For a guaranteed next day delivery we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery or one of our courier delivery options.
