Sequre is a brand well known in the hobby world for making innovative hobby tools like smart soldering irons and screwdrivers. They are now expanding their offering with component electronics.

This SQESC 2670 is a 70A brushless speed controllers (ESC) which makes use of the latest in drone ESC technology. This ESC isn’t just for drones though. It’s universal to all RC models, be that fixed-wing aircraft, cars, boats and so on. The ESC runs BLHeli_32 / AM32 firmware (select as required) allowing it to be configured to meet your needs. For example setup relating to: ESC brake, motor timing, direction, throttle calibration, current detection and other settings can be adjusted (ESC programmer required – here).

The SQESC is sold in two versions – please select as required. The ESC unsoldered (ideal for FPV racing drones) or pre-wired with the addition of a BEC (the BEC can be used to power your receiver, servos or auxiliary devices).

Supports working frequency of up to 64MHz and maximum support 128KHz motor PWM frequency
Wors with all Dshot signals. Also supports signal protocols such as PWM, Oneshot and Multishot.
Features multiple protections such as low voltage protection, temperature protection, locked rotor protection and current protection.
Optional BEC supports adjustable outputs of 5V/4A, 6V/4A, 7.2V/4A, 8.2V/4A, and 12V/3A, which can directly supply power to external devices such as receivers and servos.
Onboard RGB LED. Multiple LED colours can be customised.

BLHeli_32 Notice:

We would like to inform customers about recent changes affecting the availability of BLHeli_32 firmware. As of 2024, the development and licensing of BLHeli_32 have been discontinued, and official support channels, including firmware updates, are no longer accessible.

How This Affects You:

Future firmware updates for BLHeli_32 ESCs will no longer be provided.
ESCs with factory-installed BLHeli_32 may still function but without ongoing support or new features.

Sequre’s Solution:
To assist customers, Sequre has developed its own version of BLHeli_32 firmware. This version allows users to continue configuring their BLHeli_32 ESCs with full functionality. You can download Sequre’s firmware directly from their website to maintain and update your ESCs hassle-free.

Looking Ahead with AM32 Firmware:
We also offer Sequre ESCs pre-flashed with AM32 firmware. AM32 is a modern, open-source alternative that is actively maintained and offers the same high-level features with continued updates.

Advice

Here at Flying Tech we have a wide choice of electronic speed controllers (ESCs).

There are two main types of ESCs: 4-in-1 ESCs and single ESCs. A 4-in-1 ESC integrates four individual ESCs onto a single circuit board, each controlling a separate motor. A single ESC controls only one motor.

This 4-in-1 ESC is a more popular choice for racing quads, while single motor aircraft such as fixed wings would use a single ESC. Single ESCs are still used by some drone racers though, as after a crash or a burnt up ESC, they only have to replace one, not an entire 4-in-1 or stack which is a lot more costly. Single ESCs are also available which much greater current ratings (80amp +) so they are also used by power hungry multi-rotors, for example X-Class racing quads, professional camera flying “Cinelifters”.

When using individual ESCs, they typically need to be connected to a single power distribution board (PDB) or an “AIO flight controller” (a type of flight controller with integrated PDB) for power supply.

We are based in the UK, but ship to most worldwide destinations. Postage rates are calculated by the size/weight and shipment location. We process orders Monday to Friday and pride ourselves on our quick turnaround of orders - most UK orders will arrive the next day.

The courier options deliver Monday to Friday, Royal Mail delivers to residential addresses on Monday to Saturday.
