Sequre is a brand well known in the hobby world for making innovative hobby tools like smart soldering irons and screwdrivers. They are now expanding their offering with component electronics.
This SQESC 12200 is a powerful 200A brushless speed controllers (ESC) which makes use of the latest in drone ESC technology. This ESC isn’t just for drones though. It’s universal to all RC models, be that fixed-wing aircraft, cars, boats and so on.
The ESC runs BLHeli_32 / AM32 firmware (select as required) allowing it to be configured to meet your needs. For example setup relating to: ESC brake, motor timing, direction, throttle calibration, current detection and other settings can be adjusted (ESC programmer required – here).
The SQESC 12200 ESC is sold in two versions: unsoldered or pre-wired using heavy gauge 8AWG silicone wire – please select as required.

Here at Flying Tech we have a wide choice of electronic speed controllers (ESCs).
There are two main types of ESCs: 4-in-1 ESCs and single ESCs. A 4-in-1 ESC integrates four individual ESCs onto a single circuit board, each controlling a separate motor. A single ESC controls only one motor.
This 4-in-1 ESC is a more popular choice for racing quads, while single motor aircraft such as fixed wings would use a single ESC. Single ESCs are still used by some drone racers though, as after a crash or a burnt up ESC, they only have to replace one, not an entire 4-in-1 or stack which is a lot more costly. Single ESCs are also available which much greater current ratings (80amp +) so they are also used by power hungry multi-rotors, for example X-Class racing quads, professional camera flying “Cinelifters”.
When using individual ESCs, they typically need to be connected to a single power distribution board (PDB) or an “AIO flight controller” (a type of flight controller with integrated PDB) for power supply.
