The 6X Pro edition takes the Pixhawk 6X, which was already a top spec controller to the next level. The focus of the Pro is on managing noise and vibration, in order to achieve the best possible, most locked in flight performance.

The Pixhawk 6X Pro introduces a new kind of IMU vibration isolation, that is a combination of special silicone-based vibration absorbing material and mass. Foam and silicon can be used to filter vibration, but so can mass – the heavier the mass the more force is required to accelerate it and this can be used to reduce the effect of vibration. This clever design, results in less flight instability as the IMU gyro sensors receive the clearest possible picture of what the aircraft is actually doing in terms of acceleration and rotation rates. Backed by extensive R&D and testing, it offers optimal IMU damping characteristics with resonance frequency in the higher spectrum, perfect for industrial and commercial drones.

In addition to all new Vibration Isolation Design, the Pro is packing some class leading technology. Inside the Pixhawk 6X Pro, you can find an STMicroelectronics based STM32H753 MCU, paired with sensor technology from Analog Devices, Bosch, InvenSense, giving you flexibility and reliability for controlling any autonomous vehicle, suitable for commercial applications.

The Pixhawk 6X has triple redundant IMU & double redundant barometer on separate buses. Two of the IMU are industrial grade. ADIS16470 & IIM42652, feature better performance, reliability, tolerance to shock and vibration, and repeatability over time and temperature.

H7 microcontroller contain the Arm Cortex-M7 core running up to 480 MHz, has 2MB flash memory and 1MB RAM.

The FMUv6X open standard includes high-performance, low-noise IMUs on board, designed for better stabilisation. Triple redundant IMU & double redundant barometer on separate buses. When the PX4 Autopilot detects a sensor failure, the system seamlessly switches to another to maintain flight control reliability. An independent LDO powers every sensor set with independent power control. A vibration isolation System to filter out high-frequency vibration and reduce noise to ensure accurate readings, allowing vehicles to reach better overall flight performances. External sensor bus (SPI5) has two chip select lines and data-ready signals for additional sensors and payload with SPI-interface, and with an integrated Microchip Ethernet PHY, high-speed communication with mission computers via ethernet is now possible.

There are two versions of the Pixhawk 6X Pro, Standard and Mini. The difference between them relates to their base boards. The Mini’s base board is more compact with fewer ports and uses breakout boards for the PWM connections.

  • FC Module + a baseboard is required for this product to function.  A FC Module or a Baseboard by itself will not function.
