Lemon Rx DSMP Diversity Satellite Receiver DSMX / DSM2 Compatible (LM0037A)

This is the Gen 2 version of LemonRx’s Spektrum DSMX / DSM2 compatible Satellite Receiver. The most welcome improvement is the addition of a bind button, which makes it possible to bind without connecting to a standard receiver.

Lots of people use Spektrum Radios, but Spektrum have a fairly limited range of receivers. A good alternative is Lemon Rx. Unlike lots of other Spektrum compatible receivers, the Lemon Rx products aren’t inferior in terms of performance or reliability, nor are they Spektrum clones. Best still they are much better value than the Spektrum products!

This particular Rx, is a DSMX satellite receiver which is compatible with DSMX and backward compatible with DSM2 modulation, but must be used with a DSMX compatible primary receiver. As a Satellite RX you can use it in conjunction with a full size receiver for a really secure connection. Equally, it is a full range receiver with diversity on its own, so you can connect it directly to a compatible flight controller.

Weighing only 4.1g with the case this receiver is incredibly lightweight and with a 23×22.5x9mm footprint this receiver can fit in some tight spots!

If you use a spektrum transmitter you simply cannot beat the LemonRx receivers for size, price, and performance.

The satellite comes with 25cm JST connector wire (not shown in photo) for the convenience of connecting it to a Lemon Rx GEN2, a Flight Controller or Spektrum receiver.

How dual antennas work

An independent processor monitors an incoming signal and choose the appropriate antenna for reception. This allows 2 different location for installing the antennas along with different orientation. Satellite is no longer needed for receiver diversity. This greatly reduces weight with increased overall reliability in comparison to the use of a primary receiver with satellite receiver.

Quick Reference Guide

Binding with receiver

• Connect the DSMP satellite to DSMP receiver
• Prepare the receiver in bind mode with satellite connected
• Power cycle the receiver will cause both receiver and satellite in bind mode with LED flashes.

Binding without receiver

• Connect the DSMP satellite to an appropriate device such as Flight Controller and make sure there is power provided to the satellite
• Hold the B button on the satellite for about 3 seconds. The LED flashes indicate satellite is ready to bind to a transmitter without a receiver connected.

Flight Controller

• Choose DSMX 2048 on the flight controller for protocol
• Do not use SRXL2 interface. LM0037A acts as a receiving device only for flight controller and does not have telemetry feature.
