The SpeedyBee F405 V5 Flight Controller & OX32 55A ESC Stack is the latest evolution of SpeedyBee’s extremely popular F405 series, bringing several upgrades to both the flight controller and ESC while maintaining the features that made the previous generation so widely used.
Compared to the previous F405 V4, the V5 introduces a new OX32 32-bit 4-in-1 ESC, replacing the BLHeli_S ESC used on the earlier version. This allows support for ESC telemetry, providing RPM and performance data back to the flight controller for improved monitoring and tuning. The new ESC is also lighter while still delivering strong performance with 55A continuous current and up to 70A burst per motor.
The flight controller has also been refined. Instead of using a microSD card slot for logging, the V5 now features built-in 16MB flash storage for blackbox logging, simplifying installation while still allowing flight data recording for tuning and diagnostics. The board retains the proven STM32F405 processor paired with the ICM-42688P gyro, delivering reliable flight performance and excellent compatibility with Betaflight.
Firmware compatibility has also been expanded. In addition to Betaflight and iNav, the F405 V5 now supports ArduPilot, giving the board more flexibility for advanced builds and autonomous flight projects.
As with previous SpeedyBee controllers, one of the standout features is integrated Bluetooth connectivity, allowing the flight controller to be configured wirelessly using the SpeedyBee mobile app. Pilots can tune parameters, adjust settings and now even flash firmware wirelessly, meaning firmware updates can be performed directly from a smartphone without needing to connect the drone to a computer.
Connectivity has also been improved with the addition of dedicated connectors for GPS and receiver modules, alongside the existing plugs for the DJI Air Unit and 4-in-1 ESC. These extra connectors help simplify installation and reduce the amount of soldering required when building or repairing a drone.
Another small but useful update is the addition of two dedicated servo outputs, increased from one on the previous version. While not essential for most quad builds, this provides additional flexibility for specialised configurations.
The board also includes a SPA06-003 barometer, AT7456E OSD chip and multiple regulated power outputs, allowing it to power receivers, GPS modules, LEDs and HD video transmitters without additional regulators. With six UARTs, I2C support and extensive connectivity, the controller is well suited to modern FPV builds including digital HD systems.
Paired with the flight controller is the SpeedyBee OX32 55A 4-in-1 ESC, designed for powerful freestyle and racing setups running 3–6S LiPo batteries. The ESC supports DShot protocols and ESC telemetry, and includes a built-in TVS protection diode to help reduce voltage spikes and improve reliability in high-power builds.
Together, the SpeedyBee F405 V5 stack provides a powerful and feature-rich solution for 5″ freestyle drones, long-range builds and high-performance FPV quads, offering modern ESC firmware, wireless configuration and excellent connectivity at a very competitive price.

This product is available in four different options depending on the components required.
The SpeedyBee F405 V5 30×30 Flight Controller option includes the flight controller only, suitable for pilots who already have a compatible ESC or are upgrading an existing build.
The SpeedyBee OX32 55A 30.5×30.5 4-in-1 ESC option includes the ESC only, providing a high-performance replacement or upgrade for existing stacks.
The Standard Stack combines the F405 V5 flight controller and the OX32 55A 4-in-1 ESC, forming a complete 30×30 stack designed to work together out of the box.
The Stack Deluxe includes the Standard Stack along with additional accessories including a soldering practice board, power extension board, USB extension board and a short-circuit protection tool, making it particularly useful for new builds or pilots who want additional setup and testing tools.
