The DYS E-series out-runner brushless motors are designed with one thing in mind; maximising multirotor performance! Unlike many so-called multirotor motors these have been engineered specifically for multirotor use and are not based on airplane motors.
The DYSย BE1806 2300KVย may only be smallย but it produces a lot of thrust, over 500g in fact. Its high thrust to weight ratio makes it the perfectย motorย forย 250 size racing drones and similar multicopter frames. If you’re thinking about building a racing drone, you’ll soon find out a lot of people are choosingย thisย motor for its high KV spin speed which equates to great performance.ย The best thing about it is the price;ย it’s affordable which for a racing drone is a good thing as they tend to be crashed a lot!
The motor is specifiedย as 2-3S (7.4v – 11.1v),ย but many people are using it successfully onย 4Sย (14.8v).ย It’s designed for use withย 5″ toย 6″ย propellers (max 5″ on 4S).
The motor utilises quality components such as strong neodymium, high temperature magnets, a high-precision CNC machined shell, and top quality Japanese bearings. Furthermore the quality of construction matches that of the component selection; every motor is tested for concentricity and balanced for smooth running. The end result is a very smooth, powerful yet efficient, and crucially reliable brushless motor.
The motor comes complete with an accessory pack including:ย M2ย fixing screws, 2mmย gold bullet connectors and a choice of prop adapters to suit standardย 5mmย bolt-on type props or direct mount propellers. If you use the 5mm adapter, remember to check that the prop spinner is tight before flight as it’s only self-locking for a CCW spinning motor.ย A CW/CCW self-locking prop adapter upgrade kitย for the 1806 motor is available separately.
IMPORTANT – Secure the prop adapter with the SHORT screws, the long screws hit the motor windings and should only be used to attach the motor.
