The Tarot X8-Lite is the new and improved, lighter version of Tarot’s heavy lift X8 Octocopter Frame, coming in at 1.7kg versus 2.25kg. It is essentially based on the original Tarot X8 structure, but with a new top plate that can be removed without having to dissemble the entire drone! This provides much easier access for installing the flight electronics and maintenance. There is also a new battery mount which provides more space to carry a battery of greater capacity. It also incorporates Tarots new extended rail mounts / load hangers – these facilitate the simple installation of further load rails using 12mm tube and dampers (not included). There is also a new lightweight motor mount, which is suitable for motors up to ฮฆ44mm. The mount has a fan pattern, open fixing slots which is compatible with most motors on the market. Lastly the landing skids have received an update too. It now uses metal t-piece bracket which is much sturdier than plastic type used previously. Please note the landing gear of the X8-Lite is not retractable. As before, the frame is foldable without tools thanks to umbrella style folding arms.
Tarot’s recommended setup from this frame is a 4012-320KV motor, 15×5.5 Propellers, 40A ESCs with a 6S 15000mAh. The estimated flight times are as follows: No load ~40mins, 1kg load 28mins, 2kg load 22mins.
