Tarot’s new medium sized quadcopter frame, the TL4Q770 has a number of design features that make it standout from the competition.
To begin with, Tarot have come up with a new folding structure for the TL4Q770. Instead of going with the usual umbrella-type folding design, this frame uses a horizontal folding self-locking mechanism that allows the frame to become very compact and therefore easier to transport (especially if you fit some folding props). Best still, the mechanism is completely toolless. Simply press a lever to release the arm and fold away. There’s another nice innovation for the battery comportment. It features a pull-out tray to allow you easy access for swapping out batteries. It doesn’t stop there, the motor mounts incorporate shock absorbers which help to reduce vibration reaching your flight controller and therefore improve flight performance. Lastly a retractable landing gear further enhances filming capabilities, allowing for unobstructed views.
The frame itself, has a wide body, providing plenty of room to house flight electronics and there’s a GPS mast mount. To complete the frame a canopy is also included.
As with other Tarot products, the frame uses high quality materials and incorporates nicely machined parts. Overall we would recommend TL4Q770 as an ideal platform for those developing a UAV for professional applications.
