The RunCam Thumb 2 is the latest model in Runcam’s Thumb action camera series. In comparison to the previous model, the Thumb Pro, the Thumb 2 benefits from using a newer image sensor. It uses the IMX586, which provides an even clearer image than the IMX577 chip used by the Thumb Pro. The camera now boasts a USB-C port, allowing the camera to be used as a 4K webcam. You can also use the USB-C to power the camera and download data. Also of note, the max supported storage capacity is up from 256G to 512G (SD card required).

Built-in support for gyroflow stabilisation ensures smooth recording, making it ideal for capturing dynamic scenes and epic cinematic video.
The camera features PWM/UART control, allowing you to remotely operate the camera in conjunction with a RC setup to stop and start recording video.
The Thumb 2 comes with a replaceable tough Gorilla Glass lens protector. So, whether you’re zooming through trees or capturing the perfect aerial shot, you can fly confidently knowing your lens is safe from scratches and damage. You can also change the protector for a ND filter for better light control (sold as an option / separately).
Weighing only 27 grams, it won’t weigh you or your model down. Size is small too, it’s compact measuring just 55×27.5x26mm.
The Runcam Thumb 2 has no inbuilt battery so power needs to be provided through the input on the rear of the camera or USB-C port (current draw 700mA at 5V).
The Thumb 2 requires a Micro SD card. Since it records 4K in pretty high bitrate, you need a fast card, preferably U3 or faster. We sell a bundle option that includes a 128G Samsung Evo Plus SD Card, please select as required.

We are based in the UK, but ship to most worldwide destinations. Postage rates are calculated by the size/weight and shipment location. We process orders Monday to Friday and pride ourselves on our quick turnaround of orders - most UK orders will arrive the next day.

The courier options deliver Monday to Friday, Royal Mail delivers to residential addresses on Monday to Saturday.
