The FS-X6B is FlySky’s latest AFHDS receiver, and it’s been designed with multirotors in mind. It’s their most compact and lightest receiver to date and yet boasts even more features than the FS-iA6B. Like the FS-iA6B the FS-X6B uses the AFHDS 2A (Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System) protocol, which provides a very reliable interference free operation. The Rx features 6 PWM channels, 8 PPM channels and i-BUS support for up to 18 channels alongside a reliable voltage sensor built in (1-4S, 0 – 18volts). The advantage of PPM / i-BUS over traditional PWM channels is that you only need to use one signal wire, rather than one for each PWM channel – hence for PPM i-BUS compatible flight controllers such as the Naze32, the wiring is greatly simplified.
The receiver’s excellent range (reported at well over 1km) is thanks to its dual diversity antennae which give the X6B excellent reception and interference rejection capability. For best results, makes sure the antennas are set at a 90 degree angle from each other.
