The TS101 is the updated version of the TS100, which is the soldering iron of choice for a lot of RC Hobbyists.
New to the TS101 is support for two power supply options. It now has a USB-C power input socket in addition to a DC 5525 plug, which was used on the original TS100 iron. The dual inputs make the TS101 a versatile soldering iron. For portable use, the TS101 can be powered by a compatible USB-C PD battery pack or via a LiPo battery (3-4S) using the DC jack. When powered via the DC jack it can output up to 65W. Using a USB-C supply it can output up to 45W.
The iron is almost identical in size to the TS100, which was appreciated for being extremely lightweight, compact and portable. In the TS101, Miniware have made the screen wider so it’s easier to read. It also has a new square handle design – what they refer to as anti-rollback feature that prevents the soldering iron from rolling across the table.
With its 65W power rating it heats up in seconds and can be used to solder heavy gauge cable with ease. It also boasts very accurate temperature control thanks to dual temperature sensors and a STM32 microcontroller. The temperature is displayed on a clear OLED screen and it can be adjusted quickly from 50 °C to 400 °C by pressing the buttons on the handle. Its built-in motion sensor also allows the iron to automatically change between stand-by mode and operating temperature by sensing when the iron is picked up – a useful feature that saves power and oxidation of the tip whilst you aren’t using it. Our favourite feature of the TS101 is its brilliant portability. It’s very compact and can be powered from a 3-4S LiPo battery meaning you can take it to a race day and make repairs without a needing a mains power supply.

International Postage

Smaller, lower-value orders may be sent via Airmail or tracked postal services. Economy road and express air courier options are available depending on destination.
