The Tarot T-3D VI is a high quality 3 axis self stabilised gimbal, designed to carry the GoPro Hero 9. It has a lightweight, durable aluminium and carbon fibre structure that will provide outstanding stability and control for any aerial camera operations, even in severe environments. It comes already assembled and preconfigured. If you want to control the gimbal to ‘fly the camera’ then you will just need to connect a radio receiver (SBUS or PWM) to it.
The gimbal is equipped with its own IMU module, so it can be used independently of a flight controller (it doesn’t have to be used on a drone). It has two operating modes: Pan Follow mode (PF) and a First Person View (FPV) mode. In Pan Follow mode, the gimbal maintains a stable horizon and set angle of pitch, while smoothly following movement in the yaw (pan) axis. In FPV mode the gimbal smoothly follows movement in all axes. The user can switch between the modes remotely. They can also control the camera pitch and yaw angle too. Joystick movement speed is correspondingly linked to camera axis speed, so the faster you move the joystick the faster the axis will move.
