The X2212-13 980KV is a versatile motor with a high thrust to weight ratio. It’s a popular choice for small to medium sized quadcopters and hexacopters, for example a F450 quadcopter or the TBS Discovery. They are matched well with 9-10inch propellers (9045/9047/1038/1047), and we’ve even seen people spin 11×4.5inch props on them on 3S.
The motor utilises quality components such as strong neodymium, high temperature magnets, a high-precision CNC machined shell, and top quality Japanese bearings. Furthermore the quality of construction matches that of the component selection; every motor is tested for concentricity and balanced for smooth running at the factory. The end result is a very smooth, powerful yet efficient, and crucially reliable brushless motor.
The motor comes with pre-soldered 3.5mm gold bullet connections ready to plug straight into your ESC’s. Also included is an accessory package with mount plate, bolt-on style 5mm prop adapter and set of fixing screws.
Features:
Stainless steel solid shaft
The motor shaft is made of 420 stainless steel material imported from Japan. After heat treatment, the shafts are improved to high strength, excellent ductility, and better resistance to bending and breaking.
6061-T6 Aviation aluminum alloy
Top and bottom caps are made of high strength 6061-T6 aviation aluminum alloy, with high hardness and high strength of extension, which can ensure reliable performance of motors.
Imported NMB bearings
X series uses customized NMB mini bearings imported from Japan, which provide longer life, quiet and stable operation of these motors.
Hand wound
The coils of X motors are all hand wound. This manufacturing procedure costs much more in labor, but makes the coil tight, neat, better coil space factor, and can increase the continuous power output of motors.
