We are now selling the latest V3 edition of the DS600 radio controller. The upgraded handset features an LCD screen, with a telemetry feature so you can see the battery voltage of your model on the handset itself! It also has a more advanced failsafe function, allowing you to preconfigure control outputs, say the throttle control, for the event of loss of signal situations.
The DS600 radio has a very different form factor to your typical radio. This slim controller is designed for single handed operation, making it ideal for RC applications such as controlling bait boats, even RC lawn mowers and other custom projects. The radio operates on 2.4GHz and has an impressive range, typically 300-400m. The radio offers 6 channels. 2 are proportional via the joystick, intended for throttle/reverse control and left/right direction control. The other 4 channels are momentary on/off, controlled via buttons 3-6. These could be used to activate auxiliary functions like LED lights or on a bait boat to open and close the hopper. A standout function of this controller is its cruise control feature. To set your cruise speed, simply press the button on the back of the controller and it will lock in your current throttle position until you cancel it by pressing the button again. The handset has a built in rechargeable battery which offers up to a 10-15hr runtime. To recharge, simply connect to a USB power supply with the provide cable. The controller comes a wrist lanyard and handy carry bag.
In addition to the controller, the set includes a receiver. There is a choice of receivers, so please select as required. One option is a regular 6 channel PWM receiver and the other is 4+2 receiver. The 4+2 receiver offers 4 PWM output channels (1-4). Channels 5 and 6 don’t provide a PWM output signal, so can’t be used to control a servo for example, but do have their power outputs switchable (on / off) via the remote control. In effect these channels provide a remote controlled electronic switch circuit for turning auxiliary devices on and off. One use would be to plug in lighting, you would then be able to turn it on and off via the remote.
