Lots of multirotor flight controllers now support ground stations that allow you to control your drone remotely and view telemetry data in real time. These ground stations are usually downloadable as an app for smartphones and tablets. For instance, DJI have an IOS iPad app for their Naza-M V2, WooKong-M and A2 flight controllers, while Arducopter has an Android app called Droidplanner 2. If you are using one of the ground station apps, you’ll need someway to mount your device – preferably to your transmitter. This product is one solution; it’s a U clip holder with a 1/4″-20 screw thread, which will attach to any standard tripod. We sell a range of sizes to suit small smartphones to larger tablets, each are spring loaded to make attaching and detaching your device really quick. Unlike other more permanent mounts, this style of clamp allows you to remove your device when you have finished using it as a ground station, and if you have a protective case you needn’t remove it to attach. If you wish to mount your device on your transmitter, we sell a compatible carbon fibre mount as shown in the images above separately.
