The SpeedyBee Short-Circuit Protector Smart Power Tester is an intelligent smoke-stopper designed to protect your electronics when first powering a newly built drone or testing components. By automatically disconnecting power when a short circuit or excessive current is detected, it helps prevent costly damage to flight controllers, ESCs, and other onboard electronics.
Unlike traditional smoke stoppers that simply limit current using a bulb or resistor, the SpeedyBee Smart Power Tester actively cuts the power supply within milliseconds, providing faster and more reliable protection. The current cut-off threshold can be switched between 1A and 2A, allowing you to choose the appropriate level depending on the device being tested.
A built-in digital display provides real-time voltage and current monitoring, giving you instant feedback while powering your system. The output can also be manually turned on or off using the onboard button, making it easy to safely connect and disconnect your setup during testing.
For added safety, the tester includes dual protection mechanisms. If the output current exceeds 1.5A continuously for 60 seconds while set to the 2A mode, the device will automatically shut down to prevent overload. In the unlikely event the software protection fails, a secondary hardware fuse will activate and a flashing red indicator alerts you to immediately disconnect the battery.

We are based in the UK and ship to most destinations worldwide.
We dispatch orders during the times shown on our Dispatch Schedule. Orders placed before the daily dispatch cutoff will ship the same day (subject to stock availability). Orders placed after the cutoff will ship on the next scheduled dispatch day.

Smaller, lower-value orders may be sent via Airmail or tracked postal services. Economy road and express air courier options are available depending on destination. For faster delivery, we recommend express air courier services such as DHL Express, which typically deliver within 1–2 working days across Europe and a few working days for most other destinations.
