One of our favourite cameras, the RunCam 2 lives on in this new updated version – the RunCam 6. It builds on the lightweight, drone-friendly design that made the RunCam 2 so popular, while adding modern recording features, improved image quality and expanded connectivity.
The RunCam 6 FPV 4K Action Camera with HDMI is a lightweight, drone-optimised action camera designed to capture high-quality aerial footage without adding unnecessary weight to your build. Using the proven Sony IMX377 12MP sensor, it delivers sharp, detailed video with support for 4K at 30fps, 2.7K at 60fps, and 1080p at up to 120fps, making it ideal for both cinematic flights and high-speed FPV action.
Designed specifically with FPV pilots in mind, the RunCam 6 features built-in gyro data for stabilisation, allowing footage to be stabilised either in-camera with EIS or later using Gyroflow. This makes it easy to achieve smooth, professional-looking footage even during aggressive manoeuvres.
The camera includes a micro HDMI output and analogue video output, allowing it to connect directly to a video transmitter for live video monitoring. Due to the higher latency typical of action cameras, it is generally recommended as a recording camera rather than a primary FPV camera, but it remains a useful option for planes, cruisers and long-range builds where HD recording is the priority.
A replaceable 850mAh Li-ion battery provides up to 60 minutes of recording at 4K30, while the USB-C port supports external power input from 5–20V, making it easy to power directly from a drone. The camera also features WiFi connectivity for configuration and live preview via the RunCam app, along with a built-in microphone, buzzer, and compact 128×64 OLED display for easy status monitoring.
We offer the RunCam 6 in several bundle options, including versions with ND filter sets and a 128GB microSD card, making it easy to choose a ready-to-fly recording setup for your drone.
