This is a carbon fibre universal retractable landing gear kit designed to fit 450~700 class multirotors. When fixed, the gear gives over 20cm of ground clearance, which is more than enough space for a GoPro sized brushless gimbal.
A retractable landing gear has the big advantage over a typical gear in that a retractable gear allows for an unobstructed view of the sky ahead in all directions, plus they look super cool too. So if you’re an aerial photographers or FPV flyer, you’ll no longer get your shot spoiled by the landing skids entering the frame.
The quality of this landing gear is second to none. The retractors are of an all-metal construction, while the legs and skids are made from lightweight 3k-carbon fibre. The retractors boast a very reliable servoless high torque motor and they are powered from a seperate control unit. The controller features failsafe protection that makes sure the landing gear is deployed if the control signal is lost. The controller also includes an integrated UBEC so you don’t need to worry about powering it; it’s compatible with a wide voltage range, 3S to 6S. The controller needs to be connected to a spare Rx channel using a male to male servo lead, and 2-position switch on your RC transmitter is required be to control the gear.
