This GPS module is compatible with Holybro’s Pixhawk series autopilots. It utilises the UBLOX Neo M8N GPS Chip along with the IST8310 Digital Compass.
At the core of this GPS is Ublox’s latest NEO-M9N chip. The NEO-M9N module is a 92-channel u-blox M9 engine GNSS receiver, meaning it can receive signals from the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations with ~1.5 meter accuracy. The u-blox M9 follows on from the proven u-blox M8 GNSS platform, offering even more robust meter-level positioning technology and security features. M9N has max concurrent reception of 4 GNSS vs 3 for M8N.
There are a choice of cable terminations to suit various flight controllers and indeed an option for using it as a 2nd GPS module for your Pixhawk 4 for added redundancy – please select as required.
The GPS features a tri-coloured LED indicator and integrated safety switch making the user experience more convenient and simple. Holybro also include a folding pedestal mount so that you can mount the module away from sources of interference.
The module ships with a baud rate of 115200 5Hz.
