The FrSky TWIN X Lite RII is a compact, gamepad-style radio transmitter combining FrSky’s TWIN dual 2.4GHz RF system with the powerful ETHOS operating system. In TW mode, two 2.4GHz frequency links operate simultaneously between the transmitter and receiver, rather than using a conventional active/standby arrangement. This provides a highly resilient connection with low latency, fast data rates and full telemetry. The radio also supports ACCESS and ACCST D16, providing compatibility with a wide range of FrSky receivers.
The RII builds on the TWIN X Lite design with four enhanced-performance built-in 2.4GHz antennas, positioned around the upper edge of the screen for improved RF performance and stability. Its compact form incorporates a sliding 3.5-inch 800×480 high-brightness colour touchscreen, with the RII receiving an upgraded slide-rail mechanism for smoother operation and improved durability. Sliding the screen out also reveals a foldable tab for attaching a transmitter strap.
Precision MC12 CNC metal Hall sensor gimbals feature new all-around spiked M3 stick ends for improved grip when flying with either thumbs or a pinch grip. The transmitter provides six trims, four customisable buttons, easily accessible switches and momentary buttons, plus upgraded top sliders with centre detents and damped feedback.
A built-in 6-axis gyroscope allows the transmitter itself to be used as a motion-sensing input, while 512MB of internal flash storage is provided alongside a Micro SD card slot for further expansion. The included 2100mAh 2S Li-Po battery can be recharged through USB Type-C, and the accessible battery compartment allows the battery to be replaced when required.
