The Walksnail Ascent FPV VRX from CaddxFPV is a high-performance digital ground receiver built specifically for the Ascent HD FPV ecosystem. Designed for racing, freestyle, and long-range flying, it delivers low-latency HD video over HDMI while recording directly to onboard storage for convenient DVR capture.
Supporting end-to-end latency as low as 35 ms and high-frame-rate decoding at 1080p60 and 720p120, the Ascent VRX provides a smooth, responsive image even during aggressive or competitive flights. Selectable 5 MHz, 10 MHz, and 20 MHz bandwidth modes allow pilots to balance interference resistance against maximum data throughput depending on RF conditions.
Dual circularly polarised antennas provide robust reception and improved signal stability, with smart frequency-hopping automatically selecting low-interference channels to reduce dropouts and maintain a clean feed without manual tuning.
HDMI output enables plug-and-play use with FPV goggles, monitors, and televisions, making the Ascent VRX well suited to teaching environments, spectators, or multi-screen setups. Canvas Mode support allows seamless Betaflight and INAV OSD integration, with the ability to adjust supported flight-controller parameters remotely for real-time tuning and in-flight configuration.
Onboard DVR recording eliminates the need for external recorders, with Micro SD card support up to 256 GB and MP4 (H.264) recording in an exFAT file system for easy playback and archiving. Despite its feature set, the unit remains compact and portable, weighing just 118 g (excluding antennas) for effortless field use.
A wide 7.4–25.2 V input range allows direct powering from common 2–6S LiPo packs, making the VRX ideal for mobile ground stations and pit setups.

We are based in the UK, but ship to most worldwide destinations. Postage rates are calculated by the size/weight and shipment location. We process orders Monday to Friday and pride ourselves on our quick turnaround of orders - most UK orders will arrive the next day.
We are partnered with several delivery companies including Royal Mail, DHL, UPS and Parcel Force. If you have a special delivery requirement or would like to arrange a shop collection please contact us.
