A retractable landing gear is probably one of the most popular upgrades amongst drone building enthusiasts and for good reason too. A retractable landing gear not only looks super cool, it’s a huge advantage for photography and filming. A retracted gear allows for an unobstructed view of the sky ahead, making smooth shooting in all directions possible.
TL8X001 is a high load bearing retractable landing gear leg specifically designed to fit the Tarot X-Series frames (X4 / X6 / X8) with the use of the provided spacers. That said, it could be made to fit other large multirotors and would be particularly useful to those with professional aerial photography platforms. The retractor itself is of an all-metal construction, while the leg and skid are made from lightweight 3k-carbon fibre. When fixed, the gear gives over 40cm of ground clearance, which is more than enough space for a large camera gimbal.
