Unlock the full power of your 1S whoop setup with the NewBeeDrone NX69 Whoop Power Cable — engineered for maximum performance and future-proof compatibility.
Designed specifically for the NX69 ecosystem, this pigtail set features 20AWG ultra-low-resistance wire, making it the largest gauge power cable ever used in the whoop industry. At just 1 gram per piece, and with an optimized cable length of 40mm, this power lead is the perfect balance between weight savings and superior current delivery.
Key Features:
- Pre-installed NX69 Plug – Comes factory-soldered with the next-gen NX69 plug for seamless integration with NX69-equipped batteries and chargers.
- 20AWG Silicone Wire – Largest scale wire used in the whoop category, drastically reducing resistance and unlocking the full discharge potential of modern and future battery cells.
- 90° Cable Angle – The plug-to-cable connection is designed with a right-angle layout, making it easier to route and connect in tight builds while saving valuable space.
- Optimised Length – At just 40mm (wire only), we’ve minimised excess wire to reduce resistance and weight without compromising usability.
- 1 Gram Per Piece – Thoughtfully engineered to maintain whoop-class weight while pushing the limits of power throughput.
Why 20AWG? Why Now?
The NX69 plug was built to handle serious power — with internal contact metal that matches 16–18 AWG wire class. To unlock that full performance, we use 20AWG wire, striking the perfect balance between low resistance and manageable weight.

22 AWG – too limiting |
By contrast, 20AWG comes much closer to matching the connector’s real-world performance ceiling. It supports high burst current and minimises voltage drop, while keeping weight manageable in a micro drone setup. Our internal tests confirmed that this wire gauge ensures the plug is the limiting factor — not the wire — which is exactly what you want in a performance-optimised system.

Choosing the right connector: There is a massive array of connectors on the market and they are not universally suitable for all multicopters. In basic terms, a connector is a device used to connect two or more electrical elements in order to allow current to flow from one to the other. In reality this could be achieved without a connector, so this correctly implies that there are other requirements. Technical requirements such as, current rating, resistance, and reliability should principally guide your choice; however personal preference based on ease of use/soldering, past experience and recommendations is usually the deciding factor. There are 2 main kinds of connectors, those that have the electrical contacts covered, or housed, and those that are exposed. Housed connectors include connectors like Deans and exposed are like bullets. While housed connectors are marginally heavier, they are safer as their shielding helps to prevent electrical shorts. Bare connectors can be made safer by applying heat shrink. Another advantage of housed connectors is that they typically prevent you mixing up the polarities and shorting the battery. Connector choice is most critical for high current applications, it’s best to err on the side of caution when it comes to current rating. Always remember that there is no problem with using a larger connector than is required, apart from added weight and cost. Generally speaking small JST connectors are used to connect auxiliaries (BECs, LEDs etc), while 3.5mm bullets are often employed to connect ESCs to Motors. Finally, Deans, EC3s, XT60s, HXT 3.5mm are generally used for mid current applications, while 5.5mm bullets, EC5s and XT90s for high current applications.
