The Menace RC PyroTRIGGER is a compact, receiver-powered ignition module designed to add dramatic smoke effects to electric RC models. Controlled directly from an auxiliary channel on your RC transmitter, it requires no separate battery or external power source.
Using an internal reservoir capacitor, the PyroTRIGGER charges safely from the receiver’s 5V supply. When activated, the stored energy is released instantly to fire an e-match (not included), igniting a smoke grenade on command. This approach delivers reliable ignition without placing heavy current demands on your receiver or BEC.
Spring terminal outputs make wiring quick and straightforward, allowing fast connection or replacement of the e-match without soldering. This makes setup, maintenance, and re-arming between flights simple and reliable.
A built-in startup delay allows the receiver to initialise and the capacitor to fully charge before the unit becomes active, reducing the risk of accidental firing during power-up. Clear LED status indicators show connection, arming state, signal issues, and successful firing.
The PyroTRIGGER is lightweight, compact, and easy to integrate into fixed-wing aircraft, FPV platforms, and custom electric builds. Multiple units can also be daisy-chained from a single auxiliary channel for sequential smoke deployment.
For mounting, a dedicated 3D-printed smoke holder design is available, and a detailed step-by-step setup guide is provided to walk you through converting and installing a smoke grenade safely and correctly .
