FrSky MC18 Upgrade Gimbal for TANDEM X18: All-CNC Metal Hall Sensor Gimbals with 45° Travel Limiter Kit
Important Tips:
1. When you first open the back shell, please take EXTREME CARE not to simply pull off the back shell directly, otherwise you risk irreparable damage to either the 900 MHz Antenna cable, the socket on the main RF PCB board it connects too, or both of them, thus rendering the TANDEM feature inoperable.
The rear Shell needs to be VERY carefully separated and great care taken to carefully unclip the 900 MHz Antenna.
2. Before you install the gimbals, pay particular attention to the orientation of the pre installed Gimbals (i.e. which side of each gimbal the Bi-Metallic strip is on for the ratchet adjustment) as fitting the MC18 Gimbals with these Bi-Metallic strips closest to each OUTER edge will create interference problems when you try to reassemble the radio due to the slider mounting screws fouling the Bi-Metallic ratchet strip screws.
If you have any reservations about performing this Gimbal upgrade, we strongly recommend purchase of the X18S which has the MC18 upgrade gimbal installed during the manufacturing process.
