FrSky GPS ADV Telemetry Sensor

The GPS ADV w/o replaces the FrSky GPS-V2 Smart Port Telemetry GPS Position Sensor.

This particular Telemetry Sensor incorporates a GPS module to provide useful variable directional information such a position, speed, distance, altitude and UTC time which can then be displayed in real time on FrSky’s Taranis transmitters, it can also be logged onto the radio’s SD card. This location data is particularly useful for “lost aircraft situations” providing you with the coordinates of the your lost model if its still in radio range or its last known position if not. The ADV series GPS sensor provides accurate time synchronisation with GPS satellites, working with the integrated “Auto adjust from GPS” function into the ETHOS system, this ensures the radio and its telemetry are all in sync with an accurate time system, ensuring telemetry data is in sync with UTC time.

This sensor will only work with the FrSky F.Port and Smart Port enabled receivers. It does not provide autonomous GPS navigation or a RTH mode for your model; it is purely to provide data to your radio.

Please Note: The GPS should be mounted in your model so that the “Up” side is facing towards the sky.

FrSky ADVANCE (ADV) series has comprehensive sensor types and enhanced the performance and capability of the original sensor line, all ADV sensors fully support FBUS protocol and they are also S.Port compatible. With the FBUS protocol, the ADV sensors can be seamlessly paired with the FBUS capable receiver further simplifying the builds setup. Sensor can be “daisy-chained” together with other FrSky telemetry sensors such as battery voltage, current, RPM, variometer and GPS to provide a complete data package.
