Most FPV video transmitters require an analog input signal, unfortunately most new cameras only output a digital signal. Luckily there is a solution: a HDMI to analog (AV) converter. Until now most converters have been big, bulky, and heavy, with some requiring an external power source. Given that every gram counts when it comes to flight duration, these are hardly ideal. This brand new converter is quite the opposite, weighing in at 3.5grams it’s feather light. What’s more it draws 5V from HDMI plug, so there’s no need for extra weight associated with an external power source. This latest version works with both PAL and NTSC signal outputs. It can also trigger your camera’s shutter using IR and switch camera mode between photo and video (Sony Nex only). If you want to control your camera using this device, a 3-position switch is required on your transmitter along with a spare receiver channel.
We sell two versions of this converter, one with a Mini HDMI connection and one with a Micro HDMI connection.
