Here's a FPV plane that offers something a little different your typical FPV wing. The TechOne Kraftie 650 has a novel aerodynamic designed, which boasts rocket ship performance and superb handling; this is hardly surprisingly as it's based off the design of the rocket-powered WW2 Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet fighter plane.

The Me-163 Komet was the world’s first and only rocket-powered fighter. Designed as a rapid response interceptor to combat the US daylight bombing raids, the Komet was years ahead of anything the allies possessed with speeds upwards of 600mph and an incredible rate of climb. The Komet's volatile rocket system accelerated the Me-163 to an altitude of 39,000ft in just minutes from which it then only had 3 minutes of fuel left to attack its targets with its deadly 30mm canons. Once out of fuel it became a glider and very vulnerable to fighter attack when returning to base for landing. Although it can be considered a failure in operational terms, the Me-163 has gone down in history as a truly legendary aircraft of WW2 thanks to its ground-breaking design and blistering rocket performance.

Sadly the Kraftei 650 doesn't come with a rocket, but it does utilise the powerful T-Motor AIR40 KV2450 brushless motor for propulsion, making it no less of a bullet with wings, it is FAST! Designed for pilots with some experience, the Kraftei 650 benefits from incredible flight performance and stability throughout the speed range. Full power climb outs, virtually unlimited vertical, huge loops, blistering rolls and very fast passes are easily had at full throttle. Slow the Kraftei 650 down and she's just as stable and has no hint of a stall. Best still, you can enjoy all of this fantastic performance as if you were piloting it for real! The airframe has been designed for First Person View (FPV) flying, so there's a very neat mounting deck for your FPV camera and video transmitter. The deck is removal so if FPV flying isn't your thing you can pop it out and replace it with a streamlined canopy, which is also included. Whether you fly the skies solo or engage in FPV racing with friends, the TechOne FPV Kraftei delivers a thrill like few other planes do.
