IMPORTANT: The TX12 MKII Radio Controller now comes in two versions. A Multi-Protocol (CC2500, not 4in1) and a ELRS 2.4G version. Be sure to choose the correct RF version: The Multi-Protocol version supports protocols including Corona, Hitec, Futaba S-FHSS, Frsky D16/D8 (LBT or FCC), RadioLink and Graupner HoTT. The ELRS version, supports 2.4GHz ExpressLRS protocol ONLY.  Both versions have a JR size module bay and can work with external modules i.e. a multi-protocol module, ELRS module or long range module.

The Mighty, Mini TX12MKII radio has arrived!

Many years ago, RadioMaster set out to create the very best compact radio in its class. The TX12 has become the go-to product for pilots who seek a powerful, dependable, and endlessly upgradable open-source radio in a small form factor.

Working with the R/C community and open-source partners, RadioMaster proudly presents the TX12 MKII, a class-leading compact radio, with updated ergonomics, hardware, and software.

Features:

  • Added internal ExpressLRS module support (Only on ELRS version)
  • Updated main board design from STM32F207 to STM32F407
  • Improved USB-C QC 3.0 Charging
  • Precision hall-effect gimbals as standard
  • EdgeTX operating system installed from the factory
  • Updated rear case with comfortable grips
  • Improved S1 / S2 slider grip
  • SD Card included
  • Provide M1 and M2 modes

If you are looking for a compact and inexpensive radio that runs EdgeTX/ OpenTX, the TX12MKII from Radiomaster is your radio. At around two thirds the size of a traditional radio, with a removable antenna and folding carry handle, it's very compact and therefore an easy option to travel with. Despite it's smaller size, it's still comfortable to hold thanks to a well-designed casing, which incorporates handgrips.

The radio carries various switches, sliders and two momentary buttons which give you lots of options when it comes to programming the radio for your RC models.

Of course as with other Radiomaster radios, the key selling point of their radios is that they are multi-protocol (applies to CC250 version not ELRS). The T12 also has a multi-protocol RF module, but unlike the TX16S it has just one RF chip so supports fewer protocols. These include: Corona, Hitec, Futaba S-FHSS, Frsky D16/D8 (LBT or FCC), RadioLink and Graupner HoTT (note Spektrum protocols are not supported). While it a shame it doesn't have a full range of protocols, it supports the most commonly used ones, and benefits from a 1db increase in power compared with the same chip in the 4-in-1 module. This equates to around 12% extra range. Furthermore, there's a JR-Style external module bay in the back of the radio, so it could carry additional modules to support further protocols, such as TBS Crossfire.

Another great feature of this radio is its built-in charger. Simply connect to a USB source using the included cable - the status LED goes red to indicate charging, and goes off when it's complete. The USB port can also be used for data transfer with the Companion software, and for controlling a sim.

Firmware Versions - FCC and EU LBT: Our stock is supplied with EU LBT firmware. Radios can be reflashed to FCC or vice versa, the hardware itself is not restricted. Please check the supported protocols below. To reflash the 4in1 version to unlock all protocols takes less than 5 minutes. Download the latest Multi-Module Firmware from here - Module Type: STM32 4-in1 / Radio Type: Serial / Channel Order AETR. The file name will be named: mm-stm-cc2500-aetr-vX.X.X.XX.bin. Load this file onto the TX12 radio's SD card in the folder named firmware. Next on the radio, access the system menu. Use the Page button to find the SD card page, then enter on the firmware option. In there you should see the file you added to the SD card mm-stm-cc2500-aetr-v... enter on that (long press on the scroll wheel) then it gives you some options - select 'Flash Int. Multi'. That's it, the internal multi protocol module will now give you options for all MPM protocols.
