The FLVS ADV w/o replaces the FrSky VARI-H Smart Port Telemetry Variometer Sensor.
FrSKY High Precision Vario Sensor monitors atmospheric pressure and reports altitude and changes in pressure, indicating lift which is invaluable if you want to catch thermals with your RC plane.
The FrSky High Precision Variometer measures the rate of change of altitude by detecting the change in air pressure (static pressure) as altitude changes. When used with the FrSky Taranis transmitter or OpenTx radio you can create a true glider vario with tones that indicate lift and sink, a feature usually costing several hundred dollars for other radio systems. The sensor can measure the altitude up to 10000 meters with an accuracy tolerance of 0.1 meters. An exact measurement cannot be performed if atmospheric pressure changes in weather.
Features:
- Capable of connecting directly to the telemetry receivers without the sensor hub
- Supports F.Port receivers and backward compatibility with Smart Port enabled receivers
FrSky ADVANCE (ADV) series has comprehensive sensor types and enhanced the performance and capability of the original sensor line, all ADV sensors fully support FBUS protocol and they are also S.Port compatible. With the FBUS protocol, the ADV sensors can be seamlessly paired with the FBUS capable receiver further simplifying the builds setup. Sensor can be “daisy-chained” together with other FrSky telemetry sensors such as battery voltage, current, RPM, variometer and GPS to provide a complete data package.
