The R9 SX is the enhanced version of the R9 Slim series of long-range capable receivers. It adds 3-pin servo connectors with 6 full PWM channels and utilizes the dual-antenna design. The light-weight protective shell has a Multi-use 6-pin plug to bring you additional functions like signal redundancy, telemetry feedback, external battery detection and more.
Flexibility is a key feature of this receiver. The 6 PWM channels can be converted to 4 PWM channels with the additional Ch5 and Ch6 can be configured as an alternative S.Port and SBUS outputs to the 6-pin port. The enhanced design proves to be more durable, and in conjunction with the latest ACCESS firmware, the two are now synchronized and we are able to unlock the true potential of the ACCESS protocol.
Features
The new R9 SX works only with the ACCESS compatible radios and R9M modules only (R9M 2019, R9M Lite, R9M Lite Pro).

R9 SX Binding

Can I bind my R9 SX receiver to my TX16S transmitter?

No, only with R9M Lite/ R9M
No, only with R9M Lite/ R9M Lite Pro / R9M 2019 with ACCESS firmware (only FrSky radios support ACCESS)
Frsky r9-sx work around
Oh but you Shure can bind to the tx16s assuming you have a compatible to module if so check out gethub for the tx16s-access hardware mod I did it in 10 mins and I'm definitely no pro with the soldering iron but be cautious pay attention and... What do ya know it worked first try with most recent fermwear even easier than my friends actual tx made for access.. he was so mad (so far 3 months and zero issues just solid rssi and everything else works as it did before good luck and pay attention and you'll be fine.
waiting for RX... continues forever
For me Module get successfully registered, but its not detecting receiver when i select bind, waiting for RX... continues forever
waiting for RX... continues forever
I have Radio Transmitter "FrSky Taranis Q X7 Access 2.4GHz 24CH Mode2 Transmitter with R9M 2019 Long Range Module" and receiver "FrSky R9 SX ACCESS OTA 6/16CH PWM/SBUS Long Range Enhanced RC Receiver Support S.Port/F.Port for RC Drone - 915MHZ"
I am not able to bind them, I could register Module successfully, but when I click on Receiver1 Bind, then it shows message Waiting for RX.., and this messages goes forever, I tried powering off and on Receiver, powering on receiver with bind button pressed, nothing helped me
The issue you describe sounds
The issue you describe sounds like a firmware mismatch between the Rx and R9M module. I would try updating the R9M to its latest firmware, if it still doesn't bind then try updating the Rx also to the latest.
