FPV just got a lot simpler with the new all-in-one Boscam TR1. It’s the first purpose built FPV camera to incorporate a HD camera with HD recording, as well as a 200mW 5.8GHz video transmitter together in one small easy to mount package. With the TR1 you can literally be up and running in minutes – simply strap it to your platform and connect to a 3S lipo. Weighing in at just 40grams, it’s all-in-one design makes for a big weight saving over conventional modular gear, while its compact designs gives a space saving as well!

The camera records in stunning HD quality 1440x1080 30fps, while the 2.6mm low distortion lens provides an immersive 130-degree field of view. It handles changing light levels very well thanks to its automatic exposure and white balance control.

High latency is a problem with many repurposed cameras making fast FPV flight almost impossible, in this regard the TR1 excels. It transmits a very low latency 5.8GHz video stream providing the pilot with a real-time experience. The built in 200mw 5.8GHz transmits over 8 channels selectable by DIP switches. Using the standard dipole antenna a range of 600m is possible in an open area, however this can be greatly boasted by using some omnidirectional antennas. The TR1’s multifunctional port provides an AV output, so it would be possible to use an OSD in conjunction with an additional TX.

Finally the TR1 can record in HD onto a micro SD so that you can enjoy watching back your flight footage.

Hi,
one question please. I am interested in the boscam TR1 but I`m not shure how it can be mounted on my multicopter. Is a holder availibal? On your photo it Looks to stand directly on the power-in Cable... but how did you Mount it?

By admin on

No sorry, the TR1 runs on band E the Fatshark's use band F so it's not directly compatible.

Hello

Is the Boscam TR1 PAL or NSTC format ?

By admin on

It's NTSC.

Any idea if this can be mounted upsidedown or on its site?

If it could be mounted on its side it would be great for a mini quad.

By admin on

Good question. Unfortuntely it doesn't have the facility to rotate the image on the fly, you would have to do it in the edit - so obviously it wouldn't work for FPV.

hi i am planning to purchase this item but i would like to know would it work with my minimosd.

By admin on

Yes and no... there is a video out which you could connect to your minimosd, however you would then need another video transmitter to transmit the OSD video - you wouldn't be able to use the built in transmitter.

Is this compatible with Devo F7?
