If you are building a heavy lifting, high current drawing hexacopter or octocopter then this is the power distribution board for you! It can handle 260 amps continuous and a massive 320 amps peak. The board is a twin 2oz(70um) copper PCB construction and comes with 16 3.5mm pre-soldered bullet connections. There are also numerous other connection points to solder BECs and other auxiliaries to. Best still, it's half the price of the Gryphon octocopter power distribution board (GPD-1000CTP - RPP £58.85).

I'm running two 6s batteries with 5200 maH and 15c together in parallel to power 8 motors. The batteries come with 10 gauge wire. I was hoping to use 8 awg for the pdb, but would that fit? Is 8 even necessary?

8AWG can carry a higher current. I've had a look and I don't see why you couldn't use 8AWG wire with the PDB, you would just need a soldering iron with enough power to do a good job, say 100W.

Their are 8 presoldered bullet connectors on each board. Would I be able to solder more bullet connectors onto the board myself or is it better to have a lead wire soldered to the board and then put a bullet connector on the lead wire. And can the 3.5mm connectors support 14awg wire? Thank you for your help

is there an instruction maual? Im a little confused. Why are there connections with holes and without holes? Also how should I solde the positive and negative power cables for the main power output? Should I solder one cable on the red plate and one on the black? and if so, should I use the connection points with or wihtout holes. Please respond ASAP ! thank you !

The positive wire leading from your power supply goes to the red plate and the negative wire to the black plate. There is no difference between the hole and without hole connections, but we recommend using the hole connections for high amp applications as there is more contact area.

Hello I am trying to use this power distribution board to power up  my 6 motors with combined maximum current of 228 Amp, and connect it to 6 ESC's, the current ampere is perfect, however I want to be able to step down the voltage to be able to use the rasberry pi and camera. I was wondering if this BEC is good and is compatible with this PDB or do you recommend another voltage regulator for my case.

Also do I need to purchase any additional break out cables for the ESC or other components for the power management system?
I also was wondering if there is a manual to help me create an electric schematic or wiring between the battery, PDB, voltage regulator and ESC

You could use that BEC or any other BEC with this PDB. You would simply connect the positive and GND connections of the BEC to the PDB and then set the required output voltage on the BEC by adjusting it's potentiometer.

The PDB uses 3.5MM connectors for the ESCs and comes with Male 3.5MM Bullet Connectors, you would solder this plugs to the positiove and negative wires leading from your ESCs. We don't have a wiring diagram for the PDB, but the black side provides all ground connections and the red side all positive connections.

About Power Distribution Boards (PDBs): A PDB is used to distribute power from the flight battery to the speed controllers (ESCs) and other auxiliaries. They make for a tidy and reliable installation. The alternative is a bird’s nest of cables back to the flight battery and a higher risk of bad connections over time, as connecting/disconnecting your battery will tugged on your wiring. Additionally if you need to replace an ESC you will have to cut into the wiring harness to detach it, with a PDB it's simply a case of unplugging/desoldering a connection. That said, if you are only wiring up a small quadcopter and space is tight, a wiring harness might be a better and lighter solution. Great consideration should be given to your power distribution, as any failure in the system will likely result in a loss of power to the motors. In this regard ensuring that your solution is able to handle the peak current draw from your electronics is top priority.

For a guaranteed next day delivery we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery or one of our courier delivery options. Royal Mail Special Delivery will arrive by 1PM the next day and for an extra fee can be delivered on Saturdays. APC Overnight offers next day delivery with full tracking and a 2hr time slot pre-delivery text notification. DHL is a good option for larger consignments and remote locations such as Northern Ireland and Isle of Man. All high value orders are fully insured and will likely require a signature on delivery.

FREE shipping in the UK on orders over £99 (this is a signed for service and insured to a maximum of £40). Please note that the offer only applies to orders with a total weight under 1Kg and that a few products are exempt from the offer, such as LiPo batteries.

Higher value, heavy goods will be sent with DHL or an alternative courier. Orders shipped outside the UK may be subject to customs charges. These charges are additional to any delivery costs and will need to be paid by the recipient.
