5802D FPV Monitor / Receiver

Title

5802D 5.8GHz 40-CH Diversity 7" LCD FPV Monitor with DVR

£119.90
As FPV monitors go, the 5802D is a great all-rounder and won't break the bank. Offering a fantastic 7-inch LCD display with a 40-channel 5.8GHz diversity receiver, the 5802D is a great package whether you are just starting out in FPV or are an experienced UAV pilot looking for a reliable all in one solution for your video display needs. Unlike generic LCD displays, the 5802D has been designed for FPV use, so it boasts a 6000cd/m² LED backlit screen which is bright enough to be seen outdoors. Furthermore the built in sunshade keeps glare off the screen and collapses down after use to provide protection during transportation. Most importantly for FPV users, if the input signal gets weak it does not switch to the dreaded "blue screen" - a problem with many non-FPV monitors whereby if signal strength dips, even for a split second the screen turns blue! When this monitor suffers from a signal interruption it just shows static and hence this feature allows you to fly much further without losing the image and potentially your drone! The 5802D’s inbuilt dual 5.8GHz receiver matches the screen on its performance. It boasts 40 channels, across five bands making it compatible with most FPV equipment on the market including Fat Shark and ImmersionRC. There’s also has an auto-search function, which is very handy for quickly finding the correct channel for your video transmitter. The inclusion of a 5.8GHz diversity receiver is a real bonus. A diversity receiver is essentially two receivers all in one. In essence, this allows you two mix and match antennas for a solid video link. So it might be that you select a circular polarised omnidirectional antenna, which will provide good reception in all directions in the near field, and a directional high gain patch antenna for long distance flights. The diversity receiver is clever in that it will seamlessly switch between the receiver with the strongest signal. In addition to the diversity RX, the 5802D has another useful function, namely a DVR. The built in DVR lets you record and play back your flight for you and your mates to enjoy over and over again. More importantly, the DVR could also be a lifesaver for your model. Couple your FPV setup with a OSD (on screen display) and if you lose your model, play back the video to get the GPS coordinates of the crash site. Note that the DVR requires a micro SD card to record footage (supports up to 32GB). The monitor features an integrated 2000mAh rechargeable battery, which eliminates the need for external batteries and messy wires. The battery life is 2-3 hours and it can be easily recharged from a 12V LiPo battery or 12V power supply. Finally, the monitor has an AV input port and an AV output port. This means that you can use it as just a monitor and feed it with a signal from a different receiver, or you can use the 5802D's inbuilt diversity receiver and output the signal to another display, for instance FPV goggles. For the best FPV experience we recommend fixing the monitor to your transmitter using our carbon fibre monitor mount sold separately. Power Distribution Board and Dual UBEC

DIY Octo Power Distribution Board and Dual UBEC

£17.90
This power distribution board (PDB) is a 3-in-1 device that simplifies even the most complicated multirotor builds. The PDB has two built in UBEC’s; one set at 5 volts, handy for a flight controller or receiver and the other adjustable from 10-20 volts, perfect for powering lighting, servos and other gear. The board even features integrated LED’s that illuminate when you plug a battery in. With this board, even if you’re building an octocopter you won't be stuck for connections. There are 12 positive/negative pads (8 large, 4 small) for power distribution and also four outputs for each UBEC. Best still, unlike many inferior boards this PDB can handle high Amps thanks to its 4oz copper construction, up to 120A to be precise. The UBEC's are just as impressive being rated for 5S high voltage setups. Finally when it comes to mounting the board, the standard M3 45mm spaced holes make it easy to mount to most multirotor frames. Please note that basic soldering skills are required to construct this board - see the assembly instructions for further information and the required equipment.

DYS Smart 3 Axis GoPro Brushless Gimbal

Title

DYS Smart 3 Axis GoPro Brushless Gimbal

£160.00
Product available on special order, please contact us. Alternative product Tarot T4 - 3D. Flying a multirotor is pretty awesome, but recording your flight to play back later is even more awesome! If you already own a GoPro you’re half way there… combine it with this 3 axis brushless gimbal are you will be ready to record stunning cinematic video in no time. There is no contest between the quality of aerial video taken with a 3 axis verses a 2 axis gimbal, but up until now 3 axis gimbals have been reserved for larger cameras and more powerful multirotors. The DYS Smart changes this. It's one of the first 3 axis GoPro brushless gimbals on the market and in our opinion the best! Not only that but it also includes the brand new mini AlexMos controller, which runs the widely respected BaseCam SimpleBGC software. The added 3rd axis not only provides superior stablisation, but also allows you to fly the camera not just the multirotor! What’s so fantastic about this brushless gimbal is that it comes ready to use out of the box - preloaded with firmware and setup by Flying Tech! All that’s required is mounting the gimbal to your multicopter, using either the supplied 10mm rail mount hooks or the spacers to directly bolt it to your frame. What’s more the gimbal will also fit the DJI Phantom without any modifications to the fitting bracket. The wiring is also plug and play. The gimbal is supplied with a female JST connector, which can be plugged straight into one of our 3S balance port adapters to make powering the DYS Smart from your flight battery quick and easy. If you wish to control the gimbal remotely, the mini Alexmos controller provides a handy 5V to power a receiver. The gimbal will come preconfigured with the 3rd axis set in 'follow mode'. This means the gimbal will follow the forward facing direction of the airframe but smooth out disturbances and movement when yawing the copter. This configuration is recommended for a single operator. The gimbal can also be setup to be controlled by a second handset, for full control of 2 axes and different operating modes. The gimbal controller comes with the AlexMos 2.3 firmware preinstalled – after testing we don’t yet recommend version 2.4. However, as the board is an officially authorized version, it can be permanently upgraded with future firmware revisions. If you plan on flying FPV using this gimbal with a GoPro you will require a Video Out Cable. Please note: While the gimbal comes setup ready to go, we recommend conducting an accelerometer and gyro calibration before use. You may also need to optimise its PIDs to suit your style of flying - parameter setting requires patience and experience, but there are plenty of tutorials and guidance online to help. Fully compatible with the new GoPro 4
